Trying to recreate such a thing for Doom is overkill, but you could combine the segments in different ways to get variations on each MIDI, or even just an extended version of each track that goes through various permutations. For those that haven't played it, System Shock had a dynamic music system that would essentially play several MIDI segments looped and layered on top of each other, that change according to what you're doing and what's going on in the game right now. What would be *really* interesting is if someone wanted to try to construct variations on the soundtrack based on the files in the last post of this thread. And it's the same content music-wise.ĭefinitely a good soundtrack though, and I personally can't think of any maps that use it. It looks like this is the FLAC soundtrack of the soundtrack from GOG's System Shock Enhanced Edition? If that's the case it makes more sense to just use the MIDI files instead, since they're provided as well and any port can play them that way, plus the filesize is way smaller.
